The Space Saving Keyboard is a variant of the Standard Model M, but lacks the numpad. The IBM Model M SSK is a keyboard manufactured by IBM from 1987 to 1999.
The IBM SSK like all model M's has two-stage flipout feet and is made out of PVC. These keyboards are rarer than model M's, and are more valuable as a result. They can also be converted into a model F with an FSSK PCB.
Also, present on the IBM Model M SSK is a detachable SDL cable. The keyboard uses the Set 2 (AT or PS2) protocol, which means that it can easily be converted to USB using a passive converter.
The SSK is one of the most sought-after IBM Model M keyboards because of its rarity and desired layout.
